AXL Ballet

RAD Registered Dance School, PBT Certified, Enhanced DBS

Founded in 2025, AXL Ballet is an RAD Registered Dance School offering inclusive training for every dancer — from syllabus coaching to non-syllabus technique.Based in London with online options available, we welcome students of all backgrounds and levels. Classes are taught in English, 中文, or bilingual formats with French terminology, adapted to each group’s needs.Find out more about what we offer.

Amily began ballet training in China at a young age. At 10, she was selected from over 2,000 dancers into a government-funded youth performing troupe and regularly performed at cultural events.In London, she trained at RAD Headquarters and studied online with official PBT mentor Ms Priscilla Law. She earned a Distinction in RAD Advanced 2 during her teacher training. Amily was the lead dancer in the opening piece of the UK Chinese New Year Gala hosted by the Chinese Embassy. She also works in fashion as a dancer and model, with features in London Fashion Week, PAP Magazine, 17:23 Magazine, and clients including r.l.e., Pozer, Fuud London, and rOtatiOn回, etc.Amily has taught students aged 3 to 63, including expectant mothers, dancers with SEND, and LGBTQ+ students. Her teaching covers all levels, from complete beginners to elite training. She has delivered RAD syllabus classes from Pre-Primary to Advanced 2, including the full male syllabus up to Advanced Foundation.

Inspired by his sister, Tim started dancing at his local school at 6 years of age. After graduating from Arts Educational School London, Tim began a varied professional dancing career performing in Ballet companies, West End musicals, Royal Variety shows, Olympic Games opening ceremony in London, dancing throughout Europe and in New York.After gaining all his teaching qualifications with the Royal Academy of Dance and The Imperial Society of Teachers of Dancing, Tim has taught at various full time colleges and local dance schools including: The Brit School, ArtsEd, Italia Conti Academy, Royal Ballet School Junior Associates, Mountview Academy, London Boys Ballet. He has also coached the English Football Team for stamina, and overseas coaching in Asia for technique, syllabus and competitions.Tim is also an examiner and a practical teaching supervisor for the Royal Academy of Dance.

This class follows a dual-instructor format, with Miss Amily and guest teacher Mr. Clarke teaching together in every session. Their collaborative approach brings different teaching perspectives and styles, helping students gain a more complete understanding of ballet technique.Designed as an open-level class primarily for adult Improver dancers, the course integrates structured ballet training with PBT conditioning, offering both technical depth and variety.It is ideal for dancers with some ballet experience who wish to explore new steps or focus on specific technical areas. Students are welcome to share their goals and requests – each class is adapted to the group’s level and interests. 🟣 Build & Refine – Small Group Ballet Series (with Miss Amily)Danceworks, 16 Balderton St, London W1K 6TNBeginner – Sundays 17:00–18:30 (from 28 Sept)
A welcoming, thoughtfully paced introduction to ballet. No experience required.
Small group format ensures individual attention and personalised support.
Each class builds from ballet fundamentals and PBT-based training to develop correct muscle memory, proprioception, and body alignment – supporting safe, efficient, and joyful progress from the very beginning.
Intermediate – Saturdays 18:00–19:30 (from 13 Sept)
For dancers looking to refine technique, flow, and musicality.
Taught in a small group setting, with space to focus on individual needs and class interests.
Each session includes ballet fundamentals and PBT. Depending on the group, centre practice may explore short excerpts from classical repertoire or intermediate-level RAD combinations.

🟣 Ballet Capsule – Holiday Month Edition ( Co-taught by Miss Amily & Mr. Clarke)Every Thursday 19:30–21:00

A festive-format special designed for quieter, holiday months when our regular schedule shifts.
Each Ballet Capsule offers a full-month themed training block, integrating PBT and ballet fundamentals tailored to a creative focus—such as repertoire, pas de deux, character work, or a syllabus remix.
Technique and conditioning remain at the core, with each session progressively building toward a complete variation or creative result.
